Our Annual Report Is Here!

2018 was a remarkable year, but it wasn’t because of us. To be honest, all the credit belongs to YOU, the amazing people of Branford! YOU are the reason our community is thriving and that BCF is able to increase its donations year after year. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the time and funds you have so generously given to support the causes that matter to our community.

Here are the highlights of BCF’s annual report. In a nutshell, 2018 was a year of firsts!
•Contributions to BCF rose 43% last year, an all-time high! Despite a volatile market, we were able to end the year with over $2.2 million in assets.
•In an effort to make the grant application process more transparent and effective, we revised our grant application and changed it from a quarterly to an annual deadline. As a result, BCF received 24 grant applications! We were able to provide 10 grants for a wide range of needs, from meals for kids to arts, culture and education.
•Last July, we hosted Hometown Harmonies, our first-ever community-wide celebration, which brought together over 700 people on a gorgeous summer night at the Owenego in the name of philanthropy, music and merriment.

Our annual report is always a special time because it inspires us to feel thankful for our many supporters, and to reflect on how far we’ve come to help our incredible town. Since 1980, when BCF was a small endowment, we’ve been able to invest more than $1 million back into our community!
