Branford Community Foundation 2026 Annual Grant Applications Now Open!

The Branford Community Foundation (BCF) is pleased to announce that the 2026 annual grant application is now available online. In 2025, BCF awarded 29 grants through its competitive grant making process. These grants primarily ranged from $1,000 to $8,000 with an average award being around $3,000.

Grants are awarded to 501(c)3 not-for-profit organizations and 170(c)(1) governmental agencies serving the Branford community and creating a positive impact, enhancing the quality of life in Branford. The Board of Directors considers applications from one or more areas of focus: Animal Welfare; Arts, Culture, and Heritage; Basic Needs; Children and Youth; Community Improvement and Vitality; Education; Environment and Sustainability; Human Services; Seniors; Wellness and Mental health. Grant applications should address a need within the focus area and demonstrate impact on the organization, project, and community, and impact to Branford residents.

The deadline to submit a completed application to BCF for consideration for funding is March 13, 2026. Grant award decisions will be announced after May 15, 2026. To help navigate the application process, BCF will hold a virtual (Zoom) Grant Application Workshop on Thursday, February 12, at 10:00am. New applicants are highly encouraged to attend. RSVP to Amy Paris, Administrative Assistant (aparis@branfordcommunityfoundation.org). A zoom link will be provided. Organizations unable to attend the meeting are encouraged to contact Jennifer Mullett, Program Director (jmullett@branfordcommunityfoundation.org) with questions about the grant guidelines or application process prior to submitting a grant.

BCF is proud to be able to address the needs that impact our community. The ability to provide these grants, however, is only possible thanks to those who generously support the Foundation’s mission to “connect people who care with the causes that matter.” Thanks to this generosity, BCF’s investments into the community continue to grow, and the Foundation is able to respond to needs as they arise.
