2020 Competitive Grant Applications due March 12

The Branford Community Foundation (BCF) is pleased to announce that the 2020 competitive grant application materials are now available on our website (click here). Applications are due by March 12th, 2020.

In 2019, BCF committed $122,000 into the community in grants, scholarships, and leadership initiatives ranging from $500 to $25,000. BCF received 30 applications for funding last year through our competitive grant making process, reflecting a 20% increase from 2018. BCF was able to support 17 of those requests, including grants that relate to basic needs, health and human services, youth and education, arts and culture, the environment, affordable housing, arts and culture, and animal care.

Prior to beginning an application for 2020, please be sure to carefully review the grant guidelines on our website. To help navigate the process, BCF will hold a Grant Application Workshop on Wednesday, February 5, at 10am at the Joseph Trapasso Community House (46 Church Street, Branford) – Activity Room (1st Floor). RSVP to Jennifer Mullett.

If your organization received a grant in 2019, the Final Report is due February 3, 2020. Remember that new requests cannot be reviewed until the Final Report is received.

BCF is proud to be able to address emerging needs that impact our community. Our ability to provide these grants, however, is only possible thanks to those who generously support the Branford Community Foundation’s mission to “connect people who care with the causes that matter to them.” Thanks to this generosity, our investments into the community continue to grow and we are able to respond to needs as they arise.
