The Art of Giving

The Branford Community Foundation (BCF) was honored by one of Branford’s very own local artists!

Martha Link Walsh, whose celebrated art gallery at 188 North Main Street, Route 1, in Branford, is part of the Shoreline Arts Trail, generously donated her original paper cutting [pictured, right] which depicts Branford’s 375th birthday celebration! “I know of so many groups that have benefitted from their generosity,” says Walsh. “What BCF has added to the quality of life for so many people in town is immeasurable.”

The original paper cutting was auctioned at Hometown Harmonies and sold for $1,000!
BCF created 100 prints of the Owenego and Branford celebration piece so that many more people could enjoy this lovely work of art and help support Branford, as well.

A few prints remain available for purchase for $37.50, with all proceeds going to BCF, from the following locations:
Martha Link Walsh Gallery
Campus Customs
The Owenego
