BCF Grant Funds Expressive Arts Therapy Program at Orchard House

A medical adult day center that has been serving the care and needs of aging adults for over 30 years, Orchard House provides nursing care, daily meals, transportation, and cultural and recreational programming to residents of Branford and surrounding environs. In addition to providing hands on care to clients, Orchard House also extends its support to family members offering respite, a caregiver support group, and informational seminars.

Thanks to a recent grant from the Branford Community Foundation, Orchard House recently implemented an Expressive Arts Therapy Program by which an enthusiastic staff member brings smiles to older adults, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces with a lot of creativity and a few art supplies.
