BRANFORD FESTIVAL - FATHER OF THE YEAR
Every year, the Branford Community Foundation enjoys providing the award for the Branford Festival Father of the Year Essay Contest-a shiny new bike. Pictured is the 2008 winner Chris Barba with his sister, who chose to write an essay about  her brother as her nominee for "Father of the Year."

CAMP HAZEN YMCA
In 2008, Camp Hazen was the recipient of a grant from the Branford Community Foundation to financially assist Branford families who otherwise would be unable to afford the cost of summer camp. Camp Hazen is a YMCA camp located in Chester, CT. Activities include creative arts, camping, outdoor cooking and water sports such as swimming lessons, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
