A gift to the Branford Community Foundation is an investment in your town. Our endowed funds, made up of gifts from people such as you,produce revenue to support innovative local programs and agencies providing assistance to Branford residence. Less than 10% of our money goes to administrative expenses and the little that does is for a money manager, an auditor, and efforts to stay in touch with our community.

We pride ourselves on our spending policy; we help those with needs often unseen by others.

Wellness in the Community
Branford resident Diane McNamara, RN is seen helping a participant in the Parkinson's Exercise Group at VNA COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE's Shoreline Center for Health & Wellness. Thanks to a donation from the Branford Community Fund, medically challenged members of the Branford community are able to meet twice weekly for exercise and support in a safe, controlled environment.

For 10 years young people from Branford have traveled to Guasmo Sur in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador to participate in a project called "Adopta una Familia." They have helped build homes and a community center. This experience has sensitized them to global issues, influenced many to choose vocations related to international concerns and to continue on paths of volunteer service. In 2006, the Branford Community Foundation was pleased to donate $2,000 to the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL ECUADOR PROJECT.
